New Orleans French Quarter.
We camped right across the Mississippi River from New Orleans in Bayou Segnette State Park for several days while visiting our favorite "foreign country". This was a month-long trip to Florida in January '08, and a first for us after staying in scores of state parks - the washers and dryers were free of charge for campers!

Silver Strand State Beach
Although there isn't much in the way of facilities, you just can't beat Silver Strand State Beach campground for beach camping. Camping is a few feet from the sand. This was a 16th birthday party that is pretty hard to compete with. RV courtesy of Norm's RV rental department.
